In Learning Lab ‘Psychological Safety’ we look at what it means and how you can install it in your team.
It may sound a bit ‘fluffy’.... Psychological safety, but it certainly isn’t.
“Psychological safety should allow for productive disagreements.”
Psychological safety is a basic requirement for being open to feedback and trying to understand each other’s opinions. Logical, right? One problem. We often tend to assume that what is in our head is also in the other person’s head. We build our own frames of reference based on our experiences, our values, our beliefs and our person. In the same way, the idea of a goal looks different for one person than for another. The only way to be united on this is to know your own rules and communicate them to your colleagues.
Your learning journey
This Learning Lab is divided into 4 different chapters that each add extra information to the topic. In the first two chapters (let’s explain & let’s dive deeper), the topic is explained in detail so that you are fully included. In the third chapter (let’s process) we offer information to process the topic even better and finally in chapter 4 (let’s reflect) we give you some exercises to get started yourself.
LET'S EXPLAIN
In the explainer video psychological safety is framed.
LET'S DIVE DEEPER
In the deepdive the theory is explained in an E-magazine based on the football team ‘FC Hoveland’.
LET'S PROCESS
The processing is an E-quiz in which myths that circulate about psychological safety are being questioned.
LET'S REFLECT
In the self reflection you are challenged to think about what you need to feel safe in a team.
